Follow the registry key link bnet tries to look for game in your C: drive under programs you installed game into another location so it cannot locate it under c: programs run registry pack and change to where u installed and it will work.

Erm can anyone enlighten me about this problem ?
I fixed my problem by using the version switcher! All people with update problems just use that program, you can "update" without updating... it has the newest files and will just copy them into your folder. Works perfectly!
I have a ripped warcraft III, before i Install the new patch I add to the registry this
-[HKLM>Software>Blizzard>]
-create a new key "Warcraft III" (without quotes)
- on the right pane create a string and rename it to InstallPath
- open it and put where the warcraft III directory was installed (i.e C:\Games\Warcraft III\)
- close regeditor
- apply the patch (I have version switcher, I set to version 1.22 b4 applying the new patch, I thought it may help. I guess there's nothing wrong with the older version b4 applying the new patch)
Voila! success! I play now on GArena using 1.23
i had upgrade the patch from mt previous versions 1.22 to v1.23, but the maps for Dota Allstar v6.59 can't be read.

Hmm seems so that some dota maps hasnt an valid "name" for the new patch.
Today i changed some not working ai maps just for fun (i saw they hasnt the same name like some others who work) and there ... :=)
Before: DotA Allstars v6.57b AIPlus 1.52 - didnt worked
After: DotA_Allstars_v6.57b_AIPlus_1.52

I'm using the patch switcher,when i switch to the patches (1.22,1.21 or 1.20) then the game (warcraft) shows the dota files while creating a game but if i switch to the 1.23 version then it does not show any dota maps !!!!

You might not see other people create game when you are 1.23 patch at Garena. That's becaus some of the Garena users might be still using 1.21 patch or 1.21b patch so that's the different that saperated you and some of the palyers
Okay for users deepek i recomended you to reinstall the game and repatch it because you might done something wrong at the middle in it

for those with bnupdate problem, try right click your prepatch (you know, those 1.24e patches that you use to update... well at this time the latest is 1.24e) and choose run as admin. worked on me, hope it does to you!

HI , Please help me i currently use Windows Vista. I have Starcraft 2 and World of Warcraft Downloaded. both of those Work fine in all ways. After i Install Warcraft 3 and go to Download the BNET update, it Updates Normally. Then when it Says " Warcraft3 needs to restart to finish the update " you click ok. after i hit Ok it closes warcraft and Brings up a Little box Saying BNET update has stopped responding , Checking for Any errors. Then nothing it just closes. why wont this Patch Update Be installed properly? Thanks for any feed back
