IceFrog (DotA Developer) recently blogged a Valve's DotA 2 surprise update just short after the big DotA 6.69 release. The new DotA 2 which he has been working on with Valve for an year will be announced tomorrow on Game Informer magazine. This is indeed an exciting news for all the DotA community around the world. Hey guys, Game Informer dropped by the office last week to take a look at what I've been working on with the rest of the team over the last year.

I hope it's gonna be a great IceFrog's DotA remake with Valve. Imagine playing DotA without any restrictions and limitations of Warcraft 3. What you guys say about it?

Maybe it's the new game mode for TF2 they mentioned. Maybe that's why they trademarked "dota" instead of "Defense of the Ancients", so they could name maps dota_2fort, dota_well, etc.

I'll be very disappointed if this is just another DOTA clone like Heroes of Newerth or League of Legends. And if it is a 3rd person co-op game, I'll boycott valve
