Valve's Press Release:
“The International is the first public Dota 2 event and will give the tens of millions of gamers playing Dota around the world their first look at the new game,” said Gabe Newell, president and founder of Valve. “I have had the good fortune to watch the competitors as they prepare for the tournament, and level the of play is extraordinary.”
In this 5-day event DotA 2 will be publicly shown worldwide for the first time via live video broadcast in four different languages (Chinese, Russian, English & German). The tournament will be based on Double elimination playoff format. This is going to an exciting and thrilling moment for both competing teams and fans as they never played or seen the glimpse of DotA 2. Despite from the tournament there is a fair chance that Valve may come out with DotA 2 Beta invites for fans. DOTA 2 is set to be released in this fall, You can keep up with the latest news at DotA 2 Utilities.

I guess theres a team from Philippines that would be joining there. I hope. x)And wish ice frog would continue the Warcraft TFT DotA if DotA 2 needs beta keys to be played. Cause not all DotA players can get a beta key.

DotA 2 have to rework details (for example we need to see heroes' lvl more easily...). This game isn't finish but that's just a beta version, isn't it? So stop offend developers pls, that would be great.
